Viewing objects

In Objective ECM opening and viewing an object is referred to as downloading. This is the same as opening a document for preview in read-only mode. When you open and view an object, the object is temporarily saved to a cache on your local device.

Your privileges in Objective ECM govern whether you can open and view an object.

  • If an object name is displayed in blue, then you have the appropriate privileges to open and view it.
  • If an object name is displayed in black, then you don’t have sufficient privileges to open and view it.
