Deleting objects

You can delete objects if:

  • You have ‘Delete’ privileges on the object within the folder or file you wish to delete.
  • You are deleting folders, ensure they are empty. You will not be able to delete folder if they are not empty.
  • Object do not have a corporate value.
  • You are deleting a document in a file, it should not have a disposal on it.

The Delete option is disabled when you are not able to delete objects.

Note:   Some object types cannot be deleted using Objective ECM IQ and an error message is displayed.

  1. Go to the container that includes the object you wish to delete.
  2. Select More button for the object then More actions > Delete.
  3. Select Delete to confirm.

  2. Tick the checkbox next to each object in the Content pane that you wish to delete.
  3. Select Delete on the toolbar.

  4. Select Delete to confirm.

When a deleted document has an alias, an Alias Deleted Icon for an alias for which the original has been deleted. icon is displayed on the alias object card. The alias can then be deleted.
