Copying objects
When you copy an object, Objective
If the name of the object that you are copying matches the name of an existing object in the same folder, the word "copy" is added to the object name. For example, a document named proposal.docx will be copied as proposal copy.docx.
You can copy all object types (except file and repository) as long as you have ‘Open’ privilege for the object. To copy the object into another container requires ‘Create’ privilege.
- Go to the folder that contains the object you wish to copy.

Tick the checkbox adjacent to each object in the Content pane that you wish to copy.
To select all objects, tick the checkbox on the left of the page’s Summary section.

Select on the toolbar.
The Create aliases to objects dialog box is displayed.
- Choose the location where you wish to copy the object to from Recent, Handy, Home, Global or use Find to search for a location.

Select
to copy the objects to the selected location.The object(s) is added to the top of the list on the Content pane.
An error message is displayed if you have insufficient permission to copy or move the selected objects into the target location.
- If you wish to, you can rename the object(s) to give it a unique name that is different from the original.
- Refresh your list by selecting on the toolbar to reorder the newly added objects in the sort order you have chosen for the list.
Alternatively, you can also select and drag-and-drop the object card into a location and then select
to confirm.
