Changing the security classification of a user
As an Objective administrator, you are able to change a user’s security classification. There will be times in your organisation when a user’s security classification will change depending on their role.

- As an Objective administrator, find the user who requires changes to their security classification.
- Select
for the user then to open their Details page.
- Select
in the top right-hand corner of the Security settings section to make the Security Classification textbox editable.
- Choose the required Security Classification for the user from the drop-down list.
-
If the user has inherited their original or previous security classification from a group that they are part of, then the Use inherited classification checkbox is ticked. In order to change the user’s security classification:
- Untick the Use inherited classification checkbox.
- Choose a different security classification from the drop-down list.
-
When you have finished changing the user’s security classification, select:
•
to accept and save your changes and exit edit mode.
•
to discard your changes and exit edit mode.
- Edit their profile if required.
- Add a note to record the reason for the security classification change.
