Customising application settings

As an Objective administrator, you can customise Objective ECM IQ settings to reflect your organisation’s branding. These settings will be available to all users in your organisation.

As an Objective administrator, you can change the regional settings for Objective ECM IQ to align it with your region. This change will be visible to and affect all users in your organisation.

  1. As an Objective administrator, select your username User icon for the logged in user. in the top right-hand corner of the page, then Admin.
  2. Select Application settings from the Admin pane.

  3. In the Regional settings section, select the Language from the drop-down list.

    The date / time format associated with your selected language will be used in all fields and metadata with a date and time.

  4. Refresh the page.

  2. Select Application settings from the Admin pane.
  3. In the Regional settings section, select a Currency symbol from the drop-down list.
  4. Refresh the page.

As an Objective administrator, you are able to change the colour of some parts of Objective ECM IQ to align it with your corporate branding. This change will be visible to all users in your organisation.

  1. As an Objective administrator, select your username User icon for the logged in user. in the top right-hand corner of the page, then Admin.
  2. Select Application settings from the Admin pane.
  3. In the Theme section, select a Theme colour from the drop-down list.
  4. Refresh the page.

    5. Tip:   You may need to clear your cache in order to see the updated theme settings.

As an Objective administrator you are able to add welcome text to the Dashboard to make it specific to your organisation. Any changes you make will be available to all users of Objective ECM IQ.

  1. As an Objective administrator, select your username User icon for the logged in user. in the top right-hand corner of the page, then Admin.
  2. Select Application settings from the Admin pane.
  3. In the Messages section, select edit at the end of the Dashboard message field to place it in edit mode.

  4. Type a Dashboard message in the textbox.

    Use HTML syntax to format your message.

    For example:

    <h2> Welcome to Objective ECM </h2>

  5. When you have finished entering your message, select:

    • tick to accept and save your changes and exit edit mode.

    • close to discard your changes and exit edit mode.

    in the top right-hand corner of the Dashboard message field.

If you are using Objective Director, you can set a communications port between Objective Director and Objective ECM so as to enable the drag-and-drop of emails from Microsoft Outlook to Objective ECM.

  1. As an Objective administrator, select your username User icon for the logged in user. in the top right-hand corner of the page, then Admin.
  2. Select Application settings from the Admin pane.
  3. In the Objective Director section, select edit at the end of the Objective Director location field to place it in edit mode.

  4. Enter an unique port number for the Objective Director location.

    Important:  The url part of the Objective Director location should not be changed as this is the loopback communication between Objective Director and Objective ECM. The default port number should only be changed if it is already in use in your organisation.

    Note:  The port number for Objective Director that is entered here must exactly match the WebServerPort registry setting entered for Objective Director.

  1. When you have finished entering the location, select:

    • tick to accept and save your changes and exit edit mode.

    • close to discard your changes and exit edit mode.

    in the top right-hand corner of the Objective Director location field.
