Accessing the Objective Office Add-ins options in Microsoft Outlook

The options for saving emails and email attachments from Microsoft Outlook to Objective ECM are available from the following Microsoft Outlook locations:

• Home ribbon



• right-click options
  • Save Emails and Attachments
  • Save Emails
  • Save Attachments.
• File ribbon
• Attachments ribbon
• for an email to Save As to Objective ECM
• for an email attachment to Save All Attachments to Objective ECM.

• Message ribbon for new emails

  

• You can drag-and-drop an email or emails from Microsoft Outlook to Objective ECM provided you have Objective Director installed. Make sure that you set up the loop communication between Objective Director and Objective ECM.

  Limitations with drag-and-drop of emails

  • Dragging-and-dropping emails from Microsoft Outlook to Objective ECM is not supported in either a Microsoft terminal server or Citrix environment.
  • You will only be able to drag-and-drop Microsoft Outlook emails to the browser for one active user of a shared desktop or server environment.
  • Dragging-and-dropping emails from Microsoft Outlook to Objective ECM is only supported if you are using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome as your browser.
