Registering for two-factor authentication
Note: This feature is available only if you are licenced for two-factor authentication. Contact your administrator if you are unsure.
Your workflow administrator might add an extra level of authentication for certain task actions. For example, while approving a travel expenditure, you can select the Approve action only when you enter a one-time password (OTP).
To select task actions that require two-factor authentication, you need to:

Register your authentication app (on a mobile device or using USB) to generate OTPs.

Action the task by entering the OTP when prompted.
To select an action that requires two-factor authentication, you need to register for two-factor authentication.
Important: The registration process will only work if started and completed when logged into your home server.

Open your profile page:

If you are viewing the details of a task that has actions which require two-factor authentication, under Available Actions you can see the message "You are not registered for two-factor authentication. Click here to register." Select the link to go to your profile page.

in the top right-hand corner of Objective

Expand the Two-factor authentication section and select Start Registration.

Scan the QR code image:
Important: QR code image will only display when you are on your home server of your user object.

If you are using your mobile phone, scan the QR code using your mobile phone camera and the two-factor authentication mobile app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Okta Authenticator) will open and display a code.

If you are using a USB device for authentication like Yubicon, follow their help to plug-in and install the software. With Objective

Enter the code displayed in the Two-factor authentication section next to the QR code image.
If your code is correct, you will be successfully registered. This links up your authentication app with Objective
